Easy Sausage Meatballs

- 500g Italian sausages (e.g sausages made with 4287 CASALINGA G/M 1 Kg)
- 2 tbsp quality olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano2713 OREGANO RUBBED 1 Kg
- 4 tbsp red wine
- 2 x 400g tins chopped tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove crushed or ½ tsp of minced garlic 2715 GARLIC MINCED 1-2mm 1 Kg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh or dried parsley to serve (optional) 2726 PARSLEY FLAT LEAF 1-4mm 500 g
- Squeeze out sausage meat from an Italian flavour sausage such as 4287 CASALINGA G/M 1 Kg and roll into meatballs, place on plastic cling-wrapped tray (or spray tray with oil to stop meatballs sticking)
- Heat a large fry pan and brown the meatballs
- Add oregano, garlic, wine and tomatoes
- Allow pan to simmer uncovered for 15 minutes or until the sauce thickens and the meat is cooked through
- Taste and season with salt or pepper if necessary
- Serve with pasta & sprinkle with parsley before serving
